Yavapai County Broadband Initiative

Yavapai County Broadband Initiative
On behalf of the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors, Yavapai County Administration, the Yavapai County Education Service Agency (YCESA), and the Yavapai County Library District, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Yavapai County Broadband Initiative Website.
This site is intended to provide fact based information about our efforts to bring high speed broadband, reliable service to unserved and underserved homes and business in the unincorporated areas of Yavapai County. We have included public documents such as the initial Request for Proposals (RFP), the Best and Final Offers, and the Contracts with Altice and Cox Communication.
We are continuing to add Geomaps as they become available. The lack of mapping has been a challenge throughout this project. One of our goals is to change that for the positive, so in the future, the ability of all parties to obtain electronic information continues to improve. We have started a Question (Q) and Answer (A) section to further be able to answer any ongoing questions which may come up. We have nineteen (19) initial questions which we have received over the last few weeks. Our plan is to actively post the answers to any questions received each Wednesday.
Please send questions directly to Tim.Carter@yavapaiaz.gov. We have a three member team who will review and collectively answer each question. In some cases, as noted, we will ask the vendor or other appropriate party to answer the question, as they may be most qualified to do so.
We will create a running calendar of public events, such as public meetings, ground breaking activities, and scheduled meetings of the Board of Supervisors and what action they are being asked to take.
As construction begins, we do plan to periodically place budget information on the site as well. We want this page to be of value to you. Please advise of other items we can include that might be helpful.
Tim Carter, Project Manager
Yavapai County School Superintendent
