Yavapai County School Superintendent Tim Carter has announced a vacancy on the Yarnell Elementary School District Governing Board. The opening is being created due to the fact that no one filed to run for the seat in the 2020 election cycle. The position was originally posted on November 13th and no one applied for the position prior to the deadline of December 11, 2020. The position is now being advertised again with a new deadline of January 22, 2021.

          In order to be eligible to hold this seat a person must; be a registered voter within the school district,  be a citizen of the United States of America, be at least 18 years of age, possess their civil rights, have continually resided within the school district for at least one year immediately preceding taking office, and they or their spouse may not be employed by the district, or working for the district on a third party contract.

                   Deadline for receipt of letters of interest is Friday, January 22, 2021, at 5:00 p.m.  Mr. Carter will interview finalists at Yarnell School on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. The appointment should be announced by Thursday, January 28, 2021 and be valid upon taking the oath of office, through December 31, 2022.
