NEWS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Yavapai County School Superintendent Tim Carter has announced a vacancy on the Mountain Institute Career and Technology Education District Governing Board, representing Mayer Unified School District. The opening was created by the fact that no candidate filed for the position during the 2020 election cycle. The seat is being vacated by current Board Member Dale Uecker when his term ends on December 31, 2020.  We appreciate the service that Mr. Uecker has provided to the school district and the community.

          In order to be eligible to hold this seat a person must; be a registered voter within the school district, be a citizen of the United States of America, be at least 18 years of age, possess their civil rights, and they or their spouse may not be employed by the district, or working for the district on a third party contract.

Deadline for receipt of letters of interest and resumes is Friday, November 6, 2020, at 5:00 p.m.  Mr. Carter will interview finalists at the Mayer Unified School District office on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. The appointment should be announced by Thursday, November 12, 2020 and be valid from January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2022.
