Yavapai County School Superintendent Tim Carter has announced a vacancy on the Mayer Unified School District Governing Board. The opening was created by the fact that Board Member Kristin La Rue and her family are relocating out of the school district. The resignation is effective December 10th. We greatly appreciate the service that Mrs. La Rue has provided to the school district and the community.
In order to be eligible to hold this seat a person must; be a registered voter within the school district, be a citizen of the United States of America, be at least 18 years of age, possess their civil rights, have continually resided within the school district for at least one year immediately preceding taking office, and they or their spouse may not be employed by the district, or working for the district on a third party contract.
Deadline for receipt of letters of interest and resumes is Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. Mr. Carter will interview finalists at the Mayer Unified School District office on Monday, January 4, 2021. The appointment should be announced by Wednesday, January 6, 2021 and be valid from taking the oath of office through December 31, 2022.
