Yavapai County School Superintendent Tim Carter has announced a vacancy on the Clarkdale Jerome Elementary School District Governing Board.
The opening was created by the fact that no candidate filed for the position during the 2020 election cycle. The seat is being vacated by current Board Member Jill Zaske when her term ends on December 31, 2020. We greatly appreciate the dedicated service that Mrs. Zaske has provided to the school district and the community.
In order to be eligible to hold this seat a person must; be a registered voter within the school district, be a citizen of the United States of America, be at least 18 years of age, possess their civil rights, have continually resided within the school district for at least one year immediately preceding taking office, and they or their spouse may not be employed by the district, or working for the district on a third party contract.
Deadline for receipt of letters of interest and a resume is Friday, November 6, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. Mr. Carter will interview finalists at the Clarkdale-Jerome School District office on Monday, November 9, 2020. The appointment should be announced by Thursday, November 12, 2020 and be valid from taking the oath of office through December 31, 2022.
