Yavapai County School Superintendent Tim Carter has announced a vacancy on the Valley Academy for Career and Technology Education (VACTE) Governing Board, representing the Mingus Union High School District, effective December 31, 2022.
The opening was created due to the fact that no one filed for the position during the 2022 election cycle. Superintendent Carter expressed his sincere appreciation for the work that outgoing Board Member Leland Wieweck did over several decades in serving the residents of the Mingus Union High School District through his service on both the Mingus Union Board and the VACTE Board and wishes him the very best in the future.

Candidates may include letters of recommendation or support if they wish. To be eligible to hold this seat a person must: be a registered voter, be a citizen of the United States of America, be at least 18 years of age, possess their civil rights, resided within the Mingus Union School District for at least one year, and they or their spouse cannot be employed by VACTE or by a third-party provider.
Deadline for receipt of letters of interest is Friday, December 16, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. Mr. Carter will interview candidates at the Valley Academy for Career and Technology Education District office in Bridgeport on Thursday, December 22, 2022.
