NEWS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Yavapai County School Superintendent Tim Carter has announced a vacancy on the Seligman Unified School District Governing Board, due to the resignation of long time Board Member Charlie Cruise. He is relocating out of the school district. The resignation will be effective June 30, 2022. The service that Mr. Cruz has provided to the school district is greatly appreciated. He will be missed.

In order to be eligible to hold this seat a person must; be a registered voter within the school district,  be a citizen of the United States of America, be at least 18 years of age, possess their civil rights, have continually resided within the school district for at least one year immediately preceding taking office, and they or their spouse may not be employed by the district, or working for the district on a third party contract.

Deadline for receipt of letters of interest is Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 5:00 p.m.  Mr. Carter will interview finalists at the Seligman Unified School District office on Thursday, July 7th, 2022. The appointment should be announced by Friday June 8th, 2022 and be valid from the time of taking the Oath of Office through December 31, 2024.
