Yavapai County School Superintendent Tim Carter has announced a vacancy on the Congress Elementary School District Governing Board. The opening was created due to the death of veteran Governing Board Member Dutch Grogan. We offer our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Grogan and greatly appreciate all of his efforts to provide the best education possible to students.
The position is now open, and letters of interest and resumes will be accepted through 5:00 pm on Monday, November 8th. Interviews will be conducted at Congress School on Wednesday, November 10th and an appointment will be announced by Friday, November 12th. The appointment will be valid through December 31, 2022
In order to be eligible to hold this seat a person must; be a registered voter within the school district, be a citizen of the United States of America, be at least 18 years of age, possess their civil rights, have continually resided within the school district for at least one year immediately preceding taking office, and they or their spouse may not be employed by the district, or working for the district on a third-party contract. This is a nonpartisan seat.
