Mingus Union High School Board Vacancy

Yavapai County School Superintendent Tim Carter has announced a vacancy on the Mingus Union High School District Governing Board, due to the resignation of Robb Williams, who is relocating out of the area. The effective date of the resignation is July 31, 2017.

Hack it! Make it! Take it! Games For 21st Century Skill Building
8:00 am – 3:30 pm (6.5 PD Hours)
Audience: PreK-12th Grade Teachers

Come play STEMAZing games which develop spatial reasoning, strategy, and communication skills. Learn how to incorporate these games into your classroom. From games you can purchase in a store to those you can make yourself, there will be something for everyone and every grade level. This workshop will focus on the games SET, Quirkle, Quarto, Connect4, 13 Pennies, and Konane. Learn how to play these games. Learn how to make some of the games using dollar store materials. Reflect on where it fits in your classroom and how it supports the standards you teach. Each educator who works directly with students will receive a $50 kit of equipment and supplies so you can immediately put your learning to practice in the classroom.

Yavapai County School Superintendent Tim Carter is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Ryan Gray, to the Humboldt Unified School District Governing Board. Mr. Gray’s appointment will be effective April 14, 2017. The term extends through December 31, 2018. The vacant seat was a result of the resignation of veteran Board Member Brian Letendre, who relocated out of the school district and now lives in Missouri. We sincerely appreciate the valuable service Mr. Letendre provided to the students, school district and community.

Yavapai County School Superintendent Tim Carter has announced a vacancy on the Humboldt Unified School District Governing Board, due to the resignation of veteran Board Member, Mr. Brian Letendre. The effective date of the resignation is April 6, 2017 and is a result of his relocation out of state to accept new employment. Mr. Carter stated that “Mrs. Letendre has long been a well-respected resident of Prescott Valley, serving with distinction on the Humboldt Governing Board, and as the Board President. He will be missed and we wish Mr. Letendre and his family the very best”.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University in Business Management and a Master of Arts degree in Sustainable Communities from Northern Arizona University.
